The CN-FM solution is built around the FORE/Sphere network-PBX platform.  This platform is constructed on hardened Intel-based servers, the Microsoft NT operating system, and Sphere's Sphericall application software.  With the CN-FM solution,  the switching logic of traditional PBX systems is replaced with the advanced Consolidated Networking Logic of an ATM environment.   LAN/WAN traffic, Voice-Call handling and integrated CTI functions can now leverage the same network infrastructure.
